Murón 954 2023 – High-Altitude Vineyards

Red wine aged for 6 months.
Origin:
This red wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown on the limestone slopes of the Hoces del Río Riaza Natural Park at 954 meters above sea level. The vineyards lie on stony, calcareous soils with excellent drainage, providing concentration and character. The harvest is carried out manually in 20 kg boxes. At the winery, the grapes pass through a sorting table, are destemmed and manually checked. Vat filling is done by gravity and fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, with daily pump-overs to gently extract aromas and smoothness. Malolactic fermentation is followed by 6 months of ageing in French oak barrels.
Appearance:
Deep cherry red colour with violet highlights. Clean and bright, with a medium-high intensity that suggests vibrancy and good concentration.
Nose:
Fresh and expressive, dominated by red fruit (strawberry, cherry) and dried herbs. The oak adds light notes of creamy wood, toast and spices, with a slightly balsamic background.
Palate:
Shows restrained ripeness, good freshness and balance. Juicy and flavourful, with fine tannins and a silky texture.
